Look no further, Sierra Wireless AC597E PCI Express Card for Sprint is the answer to your Internet Access problems when sitting at the airport waiting to catch your next flight. Installation & Interface

The installation of this card on my laptop was a breeze. Came with an installation CD, pop the CD in - call Sprint Customer Service - and the card was activated and working in less than 10 minutes. Once installed, all you need to do is - turn it on through the Sprint PCS application, and this card would ensure that you are online for the next several hours.

Performance

After using the card for more than two months, I have been pleased with its performance. Although it adverstises download speed bursts upto 3.1MBPS, but expect the download speed to be around 1-1.5MBPS. I do some heavy web related stuff - and it gets the job done with ease. I have been using the Sierra Wireless AC597E PCI Express Card as the primary source of Internet at home, and office - and overall the performance is quiet satisfactory. Upload speeds vary between 500-900KBPS which is not too bad either.

GPS Functionality

Really liked the GPS functionality of this card, although I don't use it a lot since I already have a GPS navigator for my car. But, this card does come in handy when you are trying to locate the nearest bank, coffee shop, or gas station around. It connects with MSN Live Maps to give you directions, and access to the information you need.
